The LEE Group (TLG) will hold its 7th annual Small Business Workshop, presented by Fifth Third, in May, 2021. This year’s virtual series will kickoff on May 5th, followed by one-hour sessions on May 12th, May 19th and May 26th, with a 10 a.m. start. This year’s weekly event will be free and will focus on business recoverability and building a solid foundation.
Participants will walk away with practical solutions needed as businesses prepare for post-COVID-19 growth. It’s been well documented many small businesses (17% nationally) permanently shut down within the first three months of the pandemic. The numbers are even more staggering for minority-owned businesses (for example, 41% for American American-owned businesses) with respect to devastation over the same period.
The purpose of this year’s workshop is to focus on re-establishing a strong foundation, strengthen the small business core with an eye on for the future. This year’s theme is:
“Remerging from the Abyss”
Topics will hone in on economic projections, overall prospects for the future and its impact on small businesses across the Detroit region and beyond as businesses prepare to emerge from COVID-19 challenges.
We would like to thank the following sponsors and partners: Fifth Third Bank, Comcast Business, Detroit Development Fund, Michigan Women Forward, Tanner Friedman, Cindy Fletcher, State Farm Agent and and Detroit Public TV.
